VIC
How to apply for a Victorian firearm licence
Victoria Police LRD: check eligibility, complete a safety course, apply on eServices or paper, post certified ID, then pay after a notice.
QLD
How to apply for a Queensland weapons licence
QLD Weapons Licensing Group: genuine reason, 1102NAT course, online Form 1 preferred, Australia Post identity check, 28-day wait.
WA
How to apply for a WA individual firearms licence
WA Police individual licence: Firearms Portal, health examination, TAFE theory plus practical, written hunting/club/paintball authority, storage.
SA
How to apply for a South Australian firearms licence
SAPOL Firearms Branch: PD303, 100-point ID and fee at a local station. Licence only after 28 days. Training follows approval.
TAS
How to apply for a Tasmanian firearms licence
Tasmania Police Firearms Services: lodge at Service Tasmania, 28-day minimum, then enrol in TasTAFE safety training within six months.
NT
How to apply for an NT shooter’s licence
NT PFES: 18+ (junior club from 10), NT residency, safety course or test, genuine reason, storage. Purchase still needs a separate permit.
ACT
How to apply for an ACT firearms licence
ACT Policing Firearms Registry: genuine reason, ACT residency, 100-point ID, safety course, appointment required for a new licence.
