Field-grade engraving, double triggers, tight lock-up, clean bores, and matching numbers throughout. Nitro proofed. Mechanically sound with smooth opening and strong ejectors. This Merkel 200E dates from the early post-war Suhl period. These early 200E models are rare in Australia, with relatively few imported, and fewer remaining in great condition. Beautiful walnut stock with hand checkering, showing only light handling marks consistent with age. It has been in the same family since the 1960s, carefully looked after. Time to go to a loving owner A classic example of post-war German craftsmanship, solid, well balanced, and a very capable shooter.
