$1,600.00
price as of 24 Oct 2026
When the Germans occupied Czechoslovakia in 1938 they seized tens of thousands of these superb military rifles along with the machinery to build more. From 1938 until 1942 the Czechs were forced to build redesignated G24(t) rifles for the Germans. Gewehr 24 was the German nomenclature. The “t” is short for tschechoslowakisch, the German term for “Czechoslovak.” The rifle is marked DOU 1942 on the receiver which represents the factory in Považská Bystrica (historically written as Bistritza) under the German ordnance system. 140,000 rifles were produced in 1942 before the factory changed to Kar 98k production. Bad points? The bolt is mismatched and there is a line of pitting along the stock line as per the photos and the cleaning rod doesn't screw into place and is loose. All minor problems. Good points? Bore is strong and the rifle presents well even though it has seen use. Buyer pays transfer costs and postage through Rebel Gun Works at Woolloongabba.
